1. Subscription Lifecycle
KALESS subscriptions (Student, Pro) are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel it before the renewal date.
2. Cancellation Process & Grace Periods
You can cancel your subscription at any time via the Settings > Billing > Manage Subscription portal. When you cancel, your account will not be billed again. You will retain access to your Premium features until the end of the current paid billing cycle (your "Grace Period"). Once the cycle ends, your account will be securely downgraded to the Free Tier.
Data after downgrade: We do not delete your projects upon downgrading. However, you will be unable to run new premium analyses (like Regressions) or generate new PDF reports until you reactivate your subscription, or unless you stay within the Free limits.
3. The 14-Day Refund Guarantee
We stand by the quality of our Statistical Engine. If you upgrade to Student or Pro and find that it does not meet your research requirements, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase.
Note: The 14-day refund policy applies to new subscriptions only, not to monthly renewals. Excessive abuse of the refund policy (e.g., subscribing, computing a thesis, and refunding immediately to steal compute) will result in a permanent ban and denial of the refund.
4. Payment Failures
If your payment method fails, Lemon Squeezy will attempt to retry the charge over several days. If the invoice remains unpaid, your subscription will transition to an unpaid state, and your KALESS workspace will instantly revert to Free Tier limits.
